NJ ALEXANDRIA — Committee tabled proposed data center ordinance due to unclear definitions. Committeeman Hudanish and Township Attorney Kaczynski questioned whether Ordinance 2026-007 would restrict homeowners' residential servers versus commercial data centers. The committee voted unanimously to table the measure pending revised terminology.
Committeeman Mortara said there are no current data center proposals. Public commenters warned that the delay could allow data centers to win approval through existing land-use channels. The committee also unanimously approved a fireworks display for Halloweenfest (October 24) from Garden State Fireworks ($8,500 plus tariffs) and a settlement with Latter House of Glory, Inc., resolving property tax and civil litigation.
