NJ ALEXANDRIA — Alexandria Township Committee unanimously adopts state-mandated affordable housing ordinance to meet Fair Housing Act compliance. Ordinance 2026-002, repealing and replacing Chapter 53 for Fourth Round requirements, passed despite a February 12 Land Use Board consistency review ending in a 2-2 tie; Township Attorney Kaczynski advised the state mandate ensures consistency with the Master Plan. The committee also unanimously transferred $50,400 among 2025 budget accounts, with the largest allocation ($25,400) directed to salt expenses, and approved Ordinance 2026-005 on first reading, increasing I-C/AH zone density from 12 to 18 dwelling units per acre to offset reduced developable area from new flood hazard delineation.
